This game is a mix between puzzle and platform but also has a little bit of reflexes included. The aim is simple, to get to the finish line in one piece. You control a circle that can jump and must avoid obstacles such as razors and static. The final and main twist of the game is that you can switch the direction of gravity alowing you to reach previously un-reachable ledges and platforms.

Innoquous begins with a nice easy-to-navigate menu that pretty much gets you straight into the game. The first of thirty levels is of course a simple tutorial to give you the basic movement and jumping techniques and introduces you to the obstacles you will encounter during your journey through a world of razors and shapes.

The games graphics are simple yet effective, and look really smooth when playing. The main character seemlessly joins with the floor to give a good fluid look to each level. The rasors looked quite good and were well animated but lacked in variety, the only other rasor was the same shape and size but just blended to pink. The static wasn't very convincing either but didn't play a majorly important role in the game and so could easily be overlooked.

The gameplay was very smooth, and I couldn't find a single glitch or error. The player did however sometimes get stuck when jumping to higher platform but could easily be removed by walking the other way. It did get a little frustrating at times but mostly wasn't that noticeable. The gravity switching worked without fault and added a great deal to the dynamics of each level and gave the player more to think about and varied the puzzles a lot more.

Music wasn't anything extraordinary but wasn't bad. A nice simple fast paced backing track to make the player feel a bit rushed and make them panic in vital situations which made the game harder but more fun to finish. The sound effects were simple and few but basically all that was needed to satisfy the player.

Overall a nice pick-up and play game, but the it's main downfall is it's lack of variety. Full marks for inginuity and creativity but the lack of variety in landscape, obstacles and music is quite noticeable and makes the game that bit less enjoyable. Maybe a level editor for the game would have been a nice touch to enhance replayability or a small achievements system to encourage the player to continue and push for 100% completion.
A good game but still has much room for improvement.

I just thought the puzzles were a bit straight forward and once you've completed them they aren't much fun on the second or third time, therefore the replayability suffered.

Good review, however I think this game deserves a little more credit. For your rankings, I agree all the way up to replay value. I think with all the different modes and such it should be higher. Which would bump it up to 10 or 11.
